July 2010

Opportunities Unlimited, Inc. has received a HUD section 811 grant to renovate a property in South Kingstown into 5-6 units of affordable housing for people with disabilities and behavioral health needs. We are partnering with House of Hope, a community development corporation, on this endeavor. Thank you to those who wrote letters of support for this project.

August 2010

On August 25, we had our first graduates from our homemaker training program. Dedra, Amy, Lorna and Ray are available to provide homemaking services to elders and people with disabilities through our new enterprise – KEY TO LIFE. The training program was created through partnership with Quality Partners of RI and delivered by Sandy Reitmire the agency nurse. For more information about this endeavor, please contact Sandy Reitmire at 942-9044 ext. 16.
